The latest advances in technology and science allow dentist to accomplish things cosmetically that were not possible in the past.  We feel that the materials and techniques we utilize at our office are the best there is.

Cosmetic Dentistry allows us to help patients who are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth or smile.  Perceived problems may be as simple as the color or shade of the teeth which may be corrected with bleaching.  Other areas that can be addressed are undesirable spacing between the teeth, size of the teeth, rotation of the teeth, and shape of the teeth.  For those patients who wish to avoid braces, cosmetic dentistry is something to consider.

The first visit (cleaning, x-rays, comprehensive exam of the teeth, gums, and bone, preliminary evaluation of the TMJ, bite, and smile/esthetics) is instrumental in determining what is needed next.  Some patients may go straight to a smile makeover that includes digital pictures, a thorough evaluation of the smile, and impressions of the teeth in their current position.  From this we can utilize our labs to fabricate a diagnostic wax-up to give our patients an idea of what can their smile could look like.  Other patients may be referred to an orthodontist for an evaluation of options before any cosmetic dentistry is recommended.

We sincerely enjoy helping patients with esthetic concerns but our emphasis on function and long term stability is a reflection of our dedication to comprehensive esthetic dentistry and the level of care we strive to deliver to our patients.  If bite problems are present and not addressed the function and long term stability are compromised dramatically.
